Museum Passes

Thanks to the hard work and generosity of the Friends of the Eldredge Public Library, the EPL offers a variety of museum passes for its patrons. Stop by the library for specific pass information and to reserve and/or pick up your passes. All you need is your library card!

COVID UPDATE:  Some of the  MA cultural institutions and museums have a new ticket procedure.   Please check official websites for up-to-date information such as hours and how to purchase tickets.  

Starting on January 15, 2022, to address rising COVID-19 cases and encourage vaccination, individuals will be required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 in order to enter certain indoor spaces in Boston - including museums.  Please check the Mayor's website for more detailed information.

Pass Reservation Guidelines:

  • Reservations are recommended and can be made up to 30 days in advance.
  • Call to make a reservation : 508-945-5170 or click the button above and use your CLAMS card.  
  • Coupon passes and Returnable passes have to be picked up at the library prior to your visit.
  • Coupon passes can be picked up at the library at any time prior to your museum visit date.  Returnable passes can be picked up the day before your museum visit, and returned the day after your visit.  If you need a pass longer than 3 days, please call the library.
  • Reminder: The Library opens at 1:00 pm on Tues and Thurs and we are closed on Sundays.  Please plan for pass pick up accordingly.
  • Late charges are $1.00 per day.
  • If you need to cancel, please cancel your reservation online or call the library in advance of the reservation date.
  • A call to the museum to confirm hours and current exhibits is suggested.


Plimoth Patuxet Museums – Plymouth, MA

Plimoth Patuxet Museums brings to life the history of Plymouth Colony and the Indigenous homeland. Major exhibits include the Patuxet Homesite, 17th-Century English Village, Mayflower II and Plimoth Grist Mill.

Roger Williams Park Zoo – Providence, RI

The award-winning Roger Williams Park Zoo is home to hundreds of rare and fascinating animals from around the world. The zoo's population numbers over 1000 animals, with some 139 different species on display at any given time.

Boston Museum of Fine Arts – Boston, MA

The MFA is one of the most comprehensive art museums in the world; the collection encompasses nearly 450,000 works of art. The MFA welcomes more than one million visitors each year to experience art from ancient Egyptian to contemporary, special exhibitions, and innovative educational programs.

** June 12, 2021 -  Reserve our EPL discount pass online (button above)  or call 508-945-5170.   All visitors need to reserve a timed-entry ticket at in advance.  Call the Library for the discount promo code to use when purchasing tickets.  The Library promo code provides up to two people with $10 admission per person.  There are no on-site tickets sales at the museum.

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum – Boston, MA

Three floors of galleries filled with paintings, sculpture, tapestries, furniture, and decorative arts from cultures spanning thirty centuries surround a garden courtyard blooming with life in all seasons.

Option 2: Call the Museum 617-278-5156 to reserve tickets, telling them you have a library discount pass.  For both options, you will need to present the library pass when you arrive at the museum.

Cape Cod Museum of Natural History – Brewster, MA

A regional museum focusing on the natural history of Cape Cod with exhibits, lectures, live marine animals, and nature trails.

** June 12, 2021 - Cape Cod Museum of Natural History is open.   A library discount pass is not needed/available due to discounted "covid" rates.

Cape Cod Museum of Art – Dennis, MA

Seven gallery exhibits along with a sculpture garden celebrate Cape Cod's finest artists.

Boston Children's Museum – Boston, MA

As an early museum experience for children, the environment is informal, but the purpose is serious. "We want children to grow up feeling secure and self-confident with respect for others and the natural world. We encourage imagination, curiosity, questioning, and realism. We provide opportunities for new insights, involvement with the world and understanding of human differences with world-class exhibits and programs."

**June 12, 2021 - Reserve our EPL discount pass online (button above)  or call 508-945-5170.   You will either receive an epass from the library or pickup a physical pass from the Library.  Reserve the BCM tickets online at  Follow the directions online for the "discount programs."  On day of museum visit, you need to present your prepurchased tickets and the library pass at the museum.  There are no ticket sales at the museum at this time.

Heritage Museums and Gardens - Sandwich, MA

The Museum is famous for its Dexter rhododendrons that bloom late May into early June. The beautifully landscaped grounds are a naturalized woodland park on the edge of upper Shawme Pond. A Shaker round barn houses the J. K. Lilly III Antique Automobile Collection with its stunning display of antique automobiles. The American History Museum exhibits military miniatures, antique toys, Native American artifacts and the Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame. An operating hand-carved carousel and many of America’s most distinguished artists’ works are on exhibit in the Art Museum. There are many activities and programs planned throughout the year.

The Museum of Science - Boston, MA

The Museum of Science inspires lifelong learning and an appreciation of science. The main exhibit halls are always changing but usually include both natural and physical science exhibits. The Museum also offers a Butterfly Garden, Omni films, Planetarium show, 3-D cinema, live presentations and so much more. Fun for all ages.

** June 12, 2021 - Reserve our EPL discount pass online (button above)  or call 508-945-5170.  Call the museum at 617-723-2500 to reserve a timed pass.  They will ask you for the library membership number which is on your EPL pass.    Bring your Library confirmation (printed or epass) and your email confirmation of your museum passes when you visit the museum.

USS Constitution Museum - Boston, MA

The USS Constitution Museum serves as the memory and educational voice of USS CONSTITUTION, by collecting, preserving, and interpreting the stories of "Old Ironsides" and the people associated with her. They seek to create a positive, memorable experience for both children and adults by inspiring within them a love for the freedom that CONSTITUTION symbolizes. At the USS Constitution Museum, they have created a wonderful place for your family to learn and explore together.

New England Aquarium - Boston, MA

The New England Aquarium is a global leader in ocean exploration and marine conservation. They combine education, entertainment and action to address the most challenging problems facing the ocean. Check out their website to see current exhibits and showtimes.

** October 1, 2021 - Reserve our EPL discount pass online (button above)  and receive your epass from the Library.  The epass is not a ticket but must be presented it in the General Admission line at the Aquarium’s ticket booth for discounted admission (50%) for up to four people.   Advance reservations are no longer needed if you use a library discount pass.

New Bedford Whaling Museum- New Bedford, MA

The New Bedford Whaling Museum offers complete coverage of 19th and 20th century whaling history and technology. Among its displays is a half-scale whale ship, whale bones, whaling tools, and many other artifacts. The museum offers many educational programs and activities that will engage both children and adults.

Whydah Pirate Museum - West Yarmouth, MA

Experience Cape Cod's newest interactive science museum featuring real pirates and real treasure.  A must see attraction for all ages where you will touch, see and interact with the world's only authenticated pirate treasure.  The Whydah Pirate Museum combines artifacts from the slave trade and the pirate's life, early maps of the Atlantic and the Caribbean, and imagery of the 18th century world.

Walk-ins are welcome at the museum as space allows.   You must bring the library pass with you when you visit the museum.

MassParks Pass  

The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) has generously provided the library with two Massparks passes as part of their Use Nature As Your Library Program.  The pass entitles the bearer to free parking for one vehicle (excluding vans or buses) at over 50 facilities in the Massachusetts State Park system that charge a day-use parking fee.  This includes Nickerson State Park in Brewster.  Check out their website for information on parks, recreational activities and programs in Massachusetts.  Valid only on vehicles with Massachusetts license plates.
