Throughout the summer, join us for free, exciting programs that unearth the wonders of dinosaurs, ancient history, and the stories buried right beneath our feet! There are programs for all ages, from infants to teens. There are also activities planned for families and patrons of all ages! See our Summer Reading 2026 web page for all the details. We're thrilled to partner with the Chatham Historical Society to bring you this summer of programs to remember! 

  • Save the date: Tuesday, July 7th is our Summer Reading Adventure Kickoff with DinoMan and his life-size inflatable dinosaurs plus face painting and other activities afterwards while people are registering.
  • Summer Reading Registration will be in person starting after our kickoff event on July 7 and continues in Youth Services anytime between July 7 and August 15, 2026.
  • Get your summer reading adventure calendar of events in Youth Services at the Library (or download here)! July event registration is now underway; August program registrations open July 15. 
  • Tween & Teen Nights will be on Thursdays, starting July 9.
