Digital Local History Collection
Welcome to the EPL's new Digital Local History Collection, an online curation of resources for reference, research and curiosity about Chatham history and genealogy.Â
- The collections focus on Chatham and Cape Cod history and genealogy, drawing from the Library's extensive archives, vertical files, reference and genealogy holdings, as well as local partners, such as the Chatham Historical Society, and digital resources in the public domain from many different sources.
- The first collections to launch feature historic Chatham maps, from pre-settlement to the 20th century, as well as historic residential and business directories, cemetery records, narratives on local and maritime history, and genealogies of local families.Â
- Additional online collections will launch on a rolling basis as we continue to compile resources and digitize decades of information gathered in library files.Â
- The collections are offered via Biblioboard, a platform for libraries to curate digitized content of all kinds. It is accessible via any internet browser and device (phone, tablet, laptop etc.).
