Join author Matthew Algeo for a virtual program on his new book,  New York’s Secret Subway: The Underground Genius of Alfred Beach and the Origins of Mass Transit.  It's a story about one of most astonishing feats of engineering in American history: the nation’s first operational subway, as well as a classic tale of good versus evil, pitting a visionary inventor and entrepreneur against Tammany Hall boss William M.
