Our popular Poetry Walk returns for the summer of 2026 at “The Triangle” (Training Field Triangle Conservation Area), an approximately one mile looped trail through pitch pine and oak forest, accessible for most ages and abilities. The trail skirts a historic 1700s smallpox cemetery and offers a brief detour to a vernal pool, an important seasonal wildlife habitat. Poetry Walk stations along the trail feature poems for both adults and children, intentionally paired through shared themes, emotions, and imagery. This annual event, which continues through early fall, is presented in partnership by EPL, the Town of Chatham and the Chatham Conservation Foundation.
