colorful embroidery on an oval canvasAdult Craft Club is a great way for adults to try new arts and crafts while easing stress and having a little fun. This month, Esther Begleiter will guide us through basic hoop embroidery and the art of Brazilian Embroidery, a beautiful three-dimensional technique that uses highly twisted rayon thread from Brazil to create delicate, raised floral designs. By wrapping, casting on, and looping threads, you bring petals to life as they stand up from the fabric surface. In this design, you will also use iridescence straw threads for a flower. Esther will supply original kits that include all the materials needed to finish the piece, except for framing. Registration is required for this in-person program at the Library on Monday, July 13 @ 11:00 am. Thanks to the Friends of the Eldredge Public Library and craft donations, there is no fee, and no experience is necessary for Adult Craft Club sessions.Â
