Crawford Hollidge, Conrad and Chandler, Kennedy’s, Shuman’s. Leopold Morse, Siegal’s and E.T. Slattery offered quality merchandise in various departments all under one roof, thus a department store.  This lecture on October 7 at 2:00 pm with Anthony Mitchell Sammarco is a fascinating glimpse into shopping in Boston.
